By invitation of the Editor of the Journal of Tourism and Development, a partnership was established with TOURISM 2017. Therefore a set of authors participating in this conference will be selected and invited to resubmit their papers for a special number of this Journal.
RT&D is an editorial project of the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism of the University of Aveiro, published twice a year since 2004. After 13 years of existence full of challenges, RT&D is referenced to in some of the most important abstracting and indexing databases. With a strong international representation in the Editorial Board, Scientific Advisory Board and Review Board, RT&D publishes articles by authors from around the world in three languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish.
RT&D’s main goals are related to the creation of a platform of discussion and promotion in order to disseminate knowledge and research in tourism; the creation of a space of analysis and debate; the support, with innovation and knowledge, to the organizations responsible for elaborating the national politics for tourism and the tourism businesses sector; the promotion of projects and academic essays of research and development; the contribution and promotion of technical-scientific knowledge produced in an academic-scientific world; the promotion the internationalization of knowledge generated in national tourism schools, along with the international scientific community.
